The Ogden personal injury calculator

The Ogden personal injury calculator allows entry of data such as gender, date of birth, date of trial and so on.

From this data, the standard Ogden multipliers are calculated. The 6th version of the Government Actuary's Department actuarial tables (often known as the Ogden 6 tables) are used.

Earlier versions of the Ogden tables are not supported in this personal injury calculator.

It is then possible to perform more complex personal injury calculations such as a variable future earnings calculation or a variable lifetime loss calculation using the data entered and the calculated Ogden multipliers.

Insofar as possible, all calculations are carried out exactly in accordance with the guidelines and examples set out in the Sixth edition of the Ogden tables, available from the GAD and can currently be downloaded here.

The workings can be viewed for all figures calculated so that they may easily be manually cross referenced and checked.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, programmatical errors are possible, but unlikely. In addition, the result is only as good as the data entered. All figures should be checked using the published tables and spreadsheet software and no liability can be accepted for any losses as a result of inaccurate calculation and/or data entry.
